What is this course about?

• Build knowledge and skills in self-management to strengthen personal wellbeing and resilience
• Grow self-awareness and emotional intelligence through understanding personalities, cultural competence and unconscious bias
• Develop and apply skills in communicating with others.
• Use whanaungatanga (relationship building) and te ao Māori principles to build a positive and respectful team culture.

Who is this course for?

Suitable for leaders including 2IC, herd managers, and new managers.  Participants will require support and guidance from on-farm seniors to complete this course.

Course requirements

You are required to:

1. Complete an assessment to demonstrate your learning
2. Bring a laptop (ideally) or device to course days to access course materials, editable documents, and assessments.
3. Get on-the-job support from a workplace senior to help you source workplace information and to oversee and verify task completion. You are required to indicate who this in your enrolment form.

Courses

This course includes an online introductory session then 4 in-person part-days (10am – 3pm) with between-class contact

• Matamata (25 Sept, 2 Oct, 16 Oct, 30 Oct and 13 Nov)
• Stratford (3 Oct, 10 Oct, 24 Oct, 7 Nov, and 21 Nov)
