Implement a range of skills to effectively lead team members and improve team performance.
Designed for emerging leaders, including 2IC's, herd managers and new managers.
Participants will require support and guidance from on-farm seniors to complete this course.

In this course you will learn to:
- Build knowledge and skills in self-management to strengthen personal wellbeing and resilience.
- Grow self-awareness and emotional intelligence through understanding personalities, cultural competence and unconscious bias.
- Develop and apply skills in communicating with others.
- Use whanaungatanga (relationship building) and te ao Māori principles to build a positive and respectful team culture.
Course details
Four in-person workshops held between milkings, small class sizes, with limited numbers.
Qualification: Earn the Emerging Leadership in People, Food, and Fibre Industries Micro‑credential (15 NZQA Level 4 credits).
Course requirements
To be eligible for our courses, you must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a NZ resident visa.
You will be required to complete an assessment to demonstrate your learning.
You must bring a laptop (ideally) or device to course days to access course materials, editable documents, and assessments.
