- Use whanaungatanga (relationship building) and te ao Māori principles to build a positive and respectful team culture.
Who is it for?
The Emerging Leadership course is for leaders including 2IC’s, herd managers, and new managers. Participants will require support and guidance from on-farm seniors to complete this course.
Course details
- Cost: Free
- Format: Short course: A two-hour introduction online session, and four in-person workshops. Held in between milkings. Small class sizes (limited numbers)
- Qualification: Earn the Emerging Leadership in People, Food, and Fibre Industries Micro-credential (15 NZQA Level 4 credits)
Course requirements
To be eligible for our courses, you must be a New Zealand citizen, or hold a NZ resident visa, or a NZ work visa.
In the Emerging Leadership course, you are required to:
- Complete an assessment to demonstrate your learning
- Bring a laptop (ideally) or device to course days to access course materials, editable documents, and assessments.
- Get on-the-job support from a workplace senior to help you source workplace information and to oversee and verify task completion. You are required to indicate who this in your enrolment form.
Course locations
This course includes a two-hour introduction online session from 11am-1pm, and four in-person workshops from 10am-3pm. Enrolments close when the course is full or one week before starting.
