What is this course about?
At this practical workshop designed by DairyNZ with assistance from veterinarians, learn about:
- pre-calving observation
- the three stages of labour
- normal and abnormal calf presentation
- calf resuscitation
- the identification and matching of cow and calf
- cow and calf care
- the benefits of colostrum
This hands-on training includes practicing with our artificial cow and calf to help prepare yourself or staff for calving this season.
