Mark Olsen-Vetland

I’m proud to have joined the Dairy Training team as a tutor in 2025, bringing a strong foundation in consultancy, coaching, and practical farming experience. I currently work as a FarmWise Consultant supporting farmers across the lower South Island, with a focus on data-driven solutions and advisory services.

Originally from the UK, my family and I moved to New Zealand in 2006 to pursue opportunities in the dairy sector. Since then, I’ve progressed from contract milking to HOSM a 650-cow herd, and in 2011, my wife Rosie and I were honoured to receive the Southland/Otago Farm Manager of the Year award.

Outside of work, I’m actively involved in my local community through swim coaching, school governance, and recreational activities like parkrun and football. I’m passionate about supporting others to grow and succeed, and I bring a mix of practical knowledge, coaching experience, and a collaborative mindset to my role in training.
