Lynsey is passionate about the food and fibre sector, and the people who drive it. With over 20 years of experience, she brings a diverse skill set in people management, development consultancy, facilitation, and training. Through her business, Primary People, Lynsey partners with clients across New Zealand to support growth and capability in the sector.
Her career began as an employment lawyer in the UK, before she and her husband spent 15 years dairy farming at Curio Bay. This hands-on experience has shaped her understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the industry. Lynsey is committed to helping the food and fibre sector thrive for the benefit of all New Zealanders. She values building strong relationships, fostering connection, and deepening understanding to support this mission.
A proud 2021 Nuffield Scholar, Lynsey explored behaviour change in her report titled “Super heroes, not super humans,” challenging assumptions and building capability to support good work, thriving people, and great farming.
